Services/Interventions
Individual Therapy
A one-on-one discussion between the client and therapist. During these session, the goal is to form an alliance or professional relationship that enables trust and personal growth. This is done through the use of interventions tailored to address each client's specific need(s).
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
A type of psychotherapy focusing on changing unhelpful or unhealthy ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. CBT uses practical self-help strategies and is an effective way to treat depression and anxiety symptoms.
Solution-Focused Therapy
A type of therapy which is goal-directed with a collaborative approach to psychotherapeutic change. It is conducted through direct observation of clients' responses to a series of goal focused questions.
Person Centered Therapy
An approach to therapy where the client is an equal partner in the talk therapy process. The therapist uses non-directive techniques to engage with client, offering validation and encouragement of self-advocacy.
Mindfulness
A form of therapy that focuses on learning to notice thoughts, feelings, and surroundings without automatic responses.
Comprehensive Substance Abuse/Mental Health Evaluations
A thorough assessment which seeks to evaluate an individual's physical and mental well-being, as well as one's employment status, familial dynamics. legal history and social environment.
Immigration Evaluations
A professional assessment of the mental health and capability of an individual seeking to immigrate to the U.S. or those seeking asylum.
Supervision/Consultations
Professional and educational services offered to registered interns and other mental health professionals.
Qualified Supervision
Direction and education provided to Registered Clinical Social Work Interns seeking licensure in the state of Florida. Supervision is offered both in-person and virtually and includes review of code of ethics, test prep, understanding and implementation of interventions and case reviews.
